Mount Huangshan features 36 major peaks and a massive network of stone pathways. The regular adult entry ticket costs 190 RMB, which drops to 150 RMB during the winter season.
Cable cars run up the mountain for 80 to 100 RMB each way. Most hikers take two to three days to fully cover the main trails and high-altitude viewpoints.

This area houses the famous Guest-Greeting Pine and steep rock formations. Take the Yuping Cableway to save your energy. This section contains some of the steepest stone stairs on the mountain.

This high-altitude plateau offers clear views of Lion Peak and the sea of clouds. Stay overnight at a nearby summit hotel. Wake up early to watch the sunrise from the Refreshing Terrace.
3-4 hoursFunicular train
This deep valley features steep, narrow stairs clinging to the side of sheer cliffs. Hike down into the canyon to observe the granite walls. Ride the sightseeing funicular train from the bottom back up to avoid a heavy climb.
1-2 hours1,864 meters
At 1,864 meters, this is the highest peak of Mount Huangshan. The summit provides clear views across the entire mountain range. Lotus Peak and Tiandu Peak alternate opening every few years for ecological recovery.
